Training Overview Description

The STEMSS® Training Institute, has been providing quality, evidence-based training for behavioral health clinicians and consultation for treatment agencies since 1984. As an NAADAC Approved Education Provider (# 176230), we are able to provide focused training and Continuing Education that is widely accepted for certification and license renewal in most states and Tribal governments.

The STEMSS® Institute provides clinical education, training and consultation to Behavioral Health organizations and clinicians. Specializing in Dual Recovery from MH/SUD disorders, trauma-responsive care, integration with Primary Care and blending western Evidence-Based Practices with other Wisdom Traditions, Mike Bricker MS, CADC-2, NCAC-2, LPC is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider (#176230).

We realize that no two agencies or organizations are alike. We will work with you to design and implement training to meet both your needs and your budget. We offer live face-to-face training as well as interactive and on-demand webinars.

CE trainings we all have to take – now offered on-line!

  • Ethics – “It’s not the car you see that runs you over!” (4 or 6 hour)
  • Confidentiality – the latest on HIPAA and 42CFR(2) during Co Vid-19 (90 min)
  • Cultural Humility – “Things I didn’t know I didn’t know” (90 min or 3 hour)
  • CMS Medicare fraud and compliance training (annual requirement) (90 min)

The STEMSS Institute is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider (#176232) and we are able to certify CE contact hours which are accepted by all State and Tribal SUD Counselor Certifying Boards for certification and license renewal.

These CE hours are also usually accepted by State Licensing Boards for Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists and Social Workers. Some States also accept NAADAC CE’s for Psychologists. Please check with your state board to be sure.

NOTE: CE hours are only available for interactive live or web trainings – simply watching an archived presentation will not grant CEs.
