INTENDED LEARNERS
This activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, physician assistants, psychiatric nurses, and other healthcare professionals who seek to improve the care of patients with mental health disorders.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the mechanisms of action of current and emerging LAIA formulations for the treatment of schizophrenia
  • Evaluate the latest data and guidance informing the optimal use of LAIA formulations for treatment initiation and maintenance
  • Examine data regarding patient outcomes in schizophrenia treatment and their impact on treatment adherence
  • Integrate patient-centric communication and education tactics that support LAIA-based therapy into real-world treatment plans for appropriate patients, such as motivational interviewing
